Renowned New York plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Silich has been appointed by Staten Island University Hospital as Associate Director of its Regional Burn Unit.

New York, NY , July, 1 2008 -- The Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) has recently named Dr. Robert Silich (http://www.robertsilichmd.com) as Associate Director of its Regional Burn Center. Dr. Silich is a plastic surgeon who specializes in all areas of aesthetic surgery with particular emphasis on facial rejuvenation and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Part of his practice has always been taking care of acute burn patients and facial reconstruction after burns. He first began working with burn cases when he was a visiting medical student at Cornell Medical Center and it continued at Staten Island University Hospital's burn unit all throughout his practice for the past 9 years.

Dr. Silich has a private practice in Manhattan and also teaches plastic and reconstructive surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He is an attending surgeon at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital.
