BioDiscovery Releases GeneDirector 3.5 Microarray Data Management Platform

BioDiscovery Inc., the leading developer of integrated software solutions for microarray based research, announced today the release of GeneDirector 3.5 featuring extended data management support for Affymetrix, Illiumina and Agilent microarray platforms.

The new GeneDirector 3.5 provides several major upgrades to the backend data management engine enhancing support for management of the next generation microarray technology. GeneDirector is now compatible with the latest Affymetrix software technology using the Fusion SDK. Expression and genotyping data from Illumina'ss BeadStudio is now supported as well. Complimenting the data management enhancements, very-high density array support has been improved throughout the application enabling management and processing of Agilent'ss 244K arrays. As use of genomic arrays has increase, GeneDirector now provides sample tracking for DNA and aDNA biomaterials as well as the existing RNA and aRNA samples.

With this release our emphasis is on extending integration with all the major array platforms, said BioDiscovery'ss CEO Soheil Shams, Ph.D. As more and more research and diagnostic organizations allocate larger percentages of array production to a few key players in the array industry, we want to ensure our compatibility with these platforms remains solid.

GeneDirector 3.5 also provides full compatibility with BioDiscovery'ss upcoming Array Results Manager (ARM) version 2.0 to be released at the American Association for Cancer Research 2007 Annual Meeting.     GeneDirector'ss array CGH data management is now tightly coupled to ARM 2.0'ss new CGH informatics tools.

GeneDirector 3.5 is the leading-edge comprehensive microarray data management solution. It a central repository of all data associated with array experiments and is designed to organize, retrieve, analyze and query all of your microarray data. GeneDirector 3.5 provides an end-to-end solution for the microarray workflow process, starting from sample management and tracking, through automated image analysis and results generation.
