Author Laurence Lilley grew up in church, He started preaching at nineteen, but over time, his church experience became less and less satisfying and he searched everywhere for substance and reality. His frustration was such that around age 30, he set out to discover what Creator God had in mind when he decided to make a man. That search has persisted and new discoveries continue to be made.
At forty, he became a Pentecostal pastor. At forty-six, he retired from church activity, and the next seven years were spent interceding for Australia. The intercession lifted when he was given a vision of Australia worshipping God Almighty. He intends to live to see that happening. However, serious intercession for his nation has continued..
Lilley writes that God's dream is to have sons and daughters who are duplicates of Himself-- made in His image. In chapter 1 of And God Said I Have A Dream, Lilley establishes the foundation that God is God. Lilley provides a glimpse into Creation in chapter 3, where a massive star is being formed and where we discover that Jesus is the one who created everything, and that He is living inside us.
By chapter 8, Lilley shoots the "sacred cows" of traditional church and biblical misconceptions, and introduces the fact that our source is God Himself.
"Life comes as the result of your relationship with God, not from knowing Bible verses."
