The author, Nadia Brown, was born in Queens, New York, and lives in Miami, Florida with her family. She has been published in various print and online publications throughout the web; and this is her first full-length book collection. The poems in this book were written over a five year period and reflects either the author's own experiences, those close to her, and/ or issues that she feels very passionately about.

The author asks readers the question: "can you really unscramble an egg" And goes on to further explains that though, people often try to retrace their steps, go back in the file cabinets of their memory and clean their mistakes. That many people tell themselves that if they could only wash their past like laundry then everything would be fine. She understood that life was not a chalkboard where you could go back and erase errors that were previously made. And though you have setbacks, you can't undo what has already been done.

Nadia realized that dwelling on her past disappointments would only hold her future in doubt and keep her from living her dream. That belief inspired the title poem and poetry collection, Unscrambled Eggs. The poetry in this book was written over a five year period. Unscrambled Eggs will be released in the fall of 2005 by Publish America and made available for purchase online and through your local bookstores.
