San Jose Museum of Art to Host Harry Potter and the Half Prince Book Release Party



May 19, 2005 -- The San Jose Museum of Art (SJMA) today announced that it will partner with Borders Books to host a party celebrating the release of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on Saturday, July 16 from 7am - 10am. The first hour of the celebration is reserved exclusively for SJMA members, but from 8am on this free event is open to the public, and will include muggle art making a costume contest and a Harry Potter trivia match.

SJMA is currently taking online as well as phone reservations for the event at www.SanJoseMuseumofArt.org or 408.271.6867. The book will be one sale at 40 percent off the cover price, and previous editions of the Harry Potter series will be available in the Museum Store. To support SJMA programs, Borders Books will contribute 20 percent of all event book sales to the museum.
