All of this is done in an effort to restore well-being, build, and refine inner fortitude within Carl Kerry, who, after losing his wife and unborn child in a horrific automobile accident, has faced life with only despair and grief. The author uses a series of unpredictable, adventure-laden events to transform loss into triumph, helplessness into strength and despondency into hope.

    


The tragic elements that the main character must attempt to overcome, are just like the real life battle the author himself must wage, against the ravages of Multiple Sclerosis.
