Contest Write a Letter to Your Favorite Character and Win a Prize

Laura Lond, the author of 's8220;The Adventures of Jecosan Tarres's8221; trilogy, has announced a 's8220;Write a letter to your favorite character and win a prize!'s8221; contest for readers.



The contest will begin on October 1, 2006 and end on October 15, 2006. The results will be announced on November 1, 2006. Every participant is invited to write a personal letter to a character of their choice from The Adventures of Jecosan Tarres trilogy.



I am doing this for those readers who have fallen in love with my books, Lond says, regardless of age. I believe true booklovers, like me, will be thrilled to be able to actually communicate with their favorite character.



According to the rules, the letter must show good knowledge of the book(s) and of the particular character - their background, personality, etc. The contest is open to US residents only.



The first place winner will be given a choice of one of two T-shirts from Laura Lond'ss online store. The personal reply from the character they wrote to will be mailed to them as well. The winner may also decline the T-shirt prize and request a signed copy of any one of the Jecosan Tarres books.



The second place winner will receive a journal featuring the Tirganian royal crest and a personal reply from the character they wrote to. The winner may also decline the journal prize and request a signed copy of any one of the Jecosan Tarres books.



The third place winner will receive a button featuring Gart, one of the book characters, and a personal reply from the character they wrote to.



All 3 winning letters, together with replies, will be posted on Laura Lond'ss website. A few additional letters may be chosen to be answered and posted on the site, with no prizes awarded.
