New Star Wars Guide Book Is Visually Exciting



Sixteen thousand color photographs of Star Wars collectibles within one hardcover book is a dream come true for enthusiasts of the 30-year-old saga. The Star Wars Super Collector's Wish Book (4th edition; 2007) is the guide by which fans, collectors and dealers rely upon for knowledge of all things Star Wars, past and present.



"The sheer number of goods on the market goes well beyond the six films," states super collecting author Geoffrey Carlton. "There were souvenirs from the Ewoks on Ice performances, the George Lucas Super Live Adventure; the 1980's Droids and Ewoks television cartoons along with the Clone Wars cartoon from Cartoon Network which had their run of toys and food products; the books, comic books, magazines and video games are all spawning their own line of merchandise; Disney's annual Star Wars weekends has its own line of theme park exclusives without a book to track it all, most people would have no concept of all the treasures there were created."



The 464-page full color book supplements its 16,000 photographs with over 40,000 listings of Star Wars products and memorabilia covering nearly every country for the past 30 years. For the die-hard collector or for the curious fan who thumbs through the pages and exclaims, 'hey, I have/had one of those!' the current value of every item is included next to its entry.



Mr. Carlton's own collection, currently at 26,000 unique Star Wars collectibles, was his inspiration to compile the semi-annual book. "I had acquired some real gem pieces from around the world that many other collectors hadn't seen before, or weren't even aware that they existed. My book, which doubles as a pictorial identification guide, was the best way to share their information with the widest audience of fans."
