This love story that started in Mombasa Kenya, on the beach of Bamburi. Two teenage lovers found love so deep that nearly destroyed them. A lot of Swahili is spoken and explained. A love
that lived in hope and ended in tragedy. A love that was betrayed because of culture difference. This love story describes the clashes in culture. It is illustrated beautifully. Forty
years was a bit too much for a tragedy of love to last. It makes any person with a weak heart to weep. The language of Kenya is illustrated very clearly and explained in English.
The public will enjoy reading this lovely romantic novel. The hero must have gone through hell. He should have listened to his best friend. Their lust for love overtook all odds. If they
had the opportunity, would they have taken it
The two loves had lived in hope of finding each other; did they really try They could have tried harder. The girl was very hollow in her life she could have tried a bit harder. To bring
up a child by herself was a bit harsh. The father played the villain of the story. They were looking for guidance and this man was too cruel to give. The beach of Bamburi sounds very
enterprising. Will the pebbles still be there! The thoughts could enter the minds of the readers.
The magical effect of the dark African countryside took their breath away. Many would have that effect, even today.
It is a book for all homes and could be a lesson to the future generations.
This love blossomed like the rose and died like the autumn leaves found everywhere. The ending was a bit sad and one can imagine how their partners had coped with the tantrum they may
have shown.
Teenagers can be headstrong and they tend to act they know everything. The tree climbing lion is worth seeing if they still exist. The cuisine sounds mouth watering and the drink of
coconut water with alcohol prescribed by our hero is very tempting.
