Talk about a Sigourney Weaver nightmare

May 30, 2005 -- Zach, Jemmy, Plato, and Chubs live in Eden'sVille, Maryland. A small suburban town that you probably couldn't find with a map and an indian guide. They're just a bunch of 6th grade misfits. The town oddballs. And then on one dark, still, lonely night, Zach witnesses a meteor crash land on the outskirts of town and it turns the lives of him and his friends upside down. Why Because they never imagined in their wildest dreams that they'd end up trying to save the world from the maniacal Jim Carrey like alien leader Gakk and his marauding horde of kooky Pod Critters. And have to do it all before bedtime--Because tonight's a school night.

"GAAK" by writer/creator Darryl Hughes and artist Monique MacNaughton. It's a zany mixture of Steven Spielberg's "The Goonies" and classic 50's style creature feature movies like "The Invaders from Mars". Originating online as a popular webcomic, "GAAK" is now published by Lulu Press as a 124 page graphic novel. Upon publication, "GAAK" immediately began to garner to praise of book reviewers and scifi fans alike who followed it's evolution from web to print. The Sequential Tart website wrote in review of "GAAK":
