Global Talk Radio (http://www.globaltalkradio.com) proudly announces the return of author L. Diane Wolfe to the top-rated internet talk
program, A Story to Tell.
Diane Wolfe, who appear on A Story to Tell just over a year ago with her release of the 2nd book in The Circle of Friends series, tackles the dark and uncomfortable subject of past abuse
and neglect with the release of the 3rd book in the series, titled James. James is a hard working University of Florida student coping with loneliness, anger and an abusive past, mostly
at the hands of his alcoholic, ex-military father. A relationship with an innocent young lady named Maria raises his spirits, but when an unplanned pregnancy forces him abruptly into
adulthood, James begins to question his own ability to raise a family, fearing the actions of his father will carry into the next generation. Wolfe portrays the character'ss strengths,
weaknesses and personal anguish realistically, focusing on character development rather than the setting and location in this study in coming to terms with the past and finding inner
peace. Lightly touched upon in the first two installments of the series, she reveals the complexity of James's internal struggles. Emotionally engagine, readers will be intrigued by the
male perspective and find Book III an intense and worthy addition to The Circle of Friends.
According to Wolfe, many subtle forms of abuse go undetected. Mental and emotional abuse are not as readily apparent as physical abuse, because there are no visible scars. They target a
person'ss self esteem and can eat away at that very foundation. Constant belittling or being treated as inferior can have lasting damage to a person'ss well-being and self worth. Young
people crave boundaries, and without them, feel unloved. Rejection as an adult is a fear many people are unable to face and can be traced back to rejection experienced as a child.
Coldness or neglect can alter a child'ss perspective of the world, as well, and they may grow up treating others with the same indifference.
