A young British novelist has turned to the Internet to promote his latest novel and has decided to offer the first 13 chapters for free.
Twenty-five year old novelist Shahzad Akram wrote his thriller Novel, Miami Red and aims to make it the most successful novel on the Internet.
Realising that publishers rarely sign new authors, Akram has turned to the Internet to generate support for Miami Red. He feels that the web is a great way of reaching audiences and
building a support base for his book. Akram wants Miami Red to be the most downloadable and the most talked about novel on the Internet.
Despite the difficulties he may face, Akram remains upbeat and is determined in his quest.
"I am past the stage of quitting," Akram said. "My dream is to become a published author. I feel that I can be an inspiration for young novelists around the world. I want to become a role
model for anyone who feels that they cannot achieve something".
Miami Red finds a nineteen-year-old Cuban called Jose Molina, who travels to the United States in search of the wealth and the American Dream. Landing in Miami, Molina is kidnapped at
gunpoint by a criminal gang and is forced to take part in a murder. Later, he joins the criminal gang, rises through its ranks, and eventually becomes the gang's leader. However, as he
stands at the peak, his enemies begin closing in and the struggle to remain at the top becomes a bloody affair.
Miami Red is a breathtaking fast-read and contains a unique first-person narrative style, unlike anything else in the writing world at present. If successful this will be an excellent
achievement for him.
