Las Vegas, NV October 17, 2007 -- The Xtreme Fighting Association TM (XFA) announced it will hold their debut event in Las Vegas on April 19th, 2008, at Cox Pavilion, subject to approval by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.





The Xtreme Fighting Association (XFA) is a professional stand up, combat style, fighting association, with the excitement of Mixed Martial Arts without ground fighting. It's a stand-up, knock em' down, or knock em' out, mixed martial arts competition, where only the best men and women are left standing.



Christopher Reis, CEO of Reis Sports Entertainment and the XFA stated, "We're thrilled to be holding the first Xtreme fighting event in Las Vegas at the Cox Pavilion, the premier sports event center for many MMA events as well as other major sports events. Fans love the stand up action and they're going to get it! It will be round by round non-stop action, presented with Las Vegas style high energy entertainment. The new quarterly series will be highlighted by 9 hard-hitting, hard-kicking, toe-to-toe bouts, showcasing some of the best stand-up fighters anywhere."



As Mixed Martial Arts continues to grow as a mainstream sport it's potential seeming to be virtually limitless, the fan demographic also continues to expand. The XFA is perfectly positioned to make an impact with a broader fan base who like the stand up fighting aspect of MMA.
