Gems TV Selects Burst for Design Build of First US Production Studio
Gems TV is an integrated manufacturer and television home shopping retailer of colored gemstone jewelry that airs on Sky Digital, ntl:Telewest and DirecTV. The Group manufactures its products in Chantaburi, Thailand, which is one of the world'ss leading centers of gemstones, and sells its products primarily through television as well as the Internet through a reverse auction system, known as Snatch It. Gems TV also owns and operates one dedicated jewelry home shopping channel in the USA and two dedicated jewelry home shopping channels in the UK.

Burst will design a ground up turnkey production facility for GemsTV, which includes design and documentation, equipment procurement and installation of the audio, video and lighting for the production control room, technical equipment room and studio of the new facility. Burst is working closely with the staff of GemsTV to build an SDI facility that meets their unique production needs for 16 hours of broadcast per day on DirecTV.

The Group currently owns and operates two fully integrated production facilities in Thailand. It also owns and operates one dedicated jewelry home shopping channel in the USA and two dedicated jewelry home shopping channels in the UK through which it sells exclusively its own handcrafted gemstone jewelry and the jewelry it purchases from its outsource partners. It also sells its products on the Internet, through its own websites www.gemstv.com, www.gemstv.co.uk and www.thaigem.com, as well as on third-party websites such as eBay. The Group has plans to expand into Japan, the PRC and Germany.
