NCH Software releases the WavePad (http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/pocket.htmlref=prweb) for editing and recording on the move.
This is an exciting little audio editing tool for us to release, said Stephanie Lee, marketing manager for the Denver based company. Obviously it is based on our very successful PC
version and has more limited functionality, but it has everything that someone, like a journalist, would need to record and edit audio interviews from their CE device.
Functionality includes recording, opening and saving to a variety of formats such as wav, aiff, gsm and others, while simple editing features consist of the ability to cut, copy, paste
and delete selected sections of the audio file. Sound effects are also included with a solid array of options like amplification and normalization and being able to apply reverb, echo,
reverse, fade and more.
This release is a forerunner to a brand new edition of WavePad (http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.htmlref=prweb) for PCs
where we can expect to see added features, an enhanced user interface and further updates to the current functions and internal audio processing engine, said Stephanie. In addition to
WavePad we'sll also see a very big upgrade to our MixPad Audio Production application.
WavePad (http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/pocket.htmlref=prweb) for Windows CE is available to download from the NCH website.
It supports devices running Pocket PC 2003, Smartphone 2003 (Windows CE 4), Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC / Smartphone and Windows Mobile 6.
