Triangle Names New Chairman President and Executive Team
At Triangle Printers, success breeds successors.
Founder Harvey Saltzman announced today that he has appointed son David as the new president of Triangle, with daughter Bonnie Dayan named vice president of sales & marketing and longtime executive Steven Farber as vice president of technology services.
After 51 years as president, patriarch Harvey moves to the position of chairman, where he will remain active in
the company 's8217;s day-to-day operations.
Upon receiving a Bachelor's8217;s degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Arizona and earning his CPA license, David Saltzman practiced accounting for two years before joining Triangle in 1985, where he has concentrated on managing
the company 's8217;s financial and manufacturing operations. In his new role as president, his goals include investing in new equipment and technology, facilitating employee training and actively seeking out strategic sales and acquisition opportunities in order to expand Triangle's8217;s capacity and capabilities.
A 1979 graduate of the University of Illinois, Bonnie Dayan spent the first two years of her career working as a recreational therapist before joining Triangle as a member of the sales department, where -- year in and year out -- her efforts in sales, marketing and public relations have played a crucial role in
the company 's8217;s dramatic revenue growth.
Steven Farber is also a graduate of the University of Illinois. An 18-year employee of Triangle, he has not only been in charge of
the company 's8217;s prepress department, but has worn many other hats as well, particularly in the arena of cultivating and servicing many of Triangle's8217;s flagship clients. He has also been directly involved in the procurement of
the company 's8217;s state-of-the-art prepress equipment, as well as its new Online Ordering and Variable Data Printing technologies.
's8220;I's8217;m proud of the new management team's8217;s consistent record of achievement over the years,'s8221; says Harvey. 's8220;David for his leadership, for his organizational skills and for strengthening the fiscal foundation of
the company ; Bonnie for brightening
the company 's8217;s culture, introducing and implementing inspired marketing programs and tirelessly publicizing our many awards for printing excellence; Steven for his unflagging efforts in ensuring Triangle remains at the forefront of the graphic arts industry in craftsmanship, innovation and client service.'s8221;
It was in 1955 that Harvey started Triangle with working capital of just $250 and 48 square feet of rental office space. Today, as a full service graphic arts provider complete with electronic prepress as well as digital and conventional printing, Triangle occupies its own 44,000 square foot facility in Skokie, Illinois. And true to its vision of becoming a complete, full-service source, Triangle now offers its clients photography, copywriting, design, mailing fulfillment, even award-winning radio creative and production services.
But perhaps what the Saltzman family is most proud of is its distinguished 51-year history, its staff and the relationship the team enjoys with management. In fact, of Triangle's8217;s 48 employees, half have been with
the company for over 10 years. It's8217;s little wonder Triangle has been recognized by PIA as one of 's8220;The Best Workplaces in America's8221; and listed on the honor roll of The Center for Companies that Care.
Asked what his duties as chairman would consist of, Harvey said: 's8220;My plan is to be involved as a mentor, cheerleader, guiding hand and confidante, and to be helpful in new-idea and project development. I will have more time to spend on my charity work on behalf of City of Hope and the new Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, not to mention my other passion -- representing Triangle on the golf course.'s8221;
With his new management team in place, Harvey can relax on the links, knowing that his legacy of excellence is sure to continue.
