11th Middle East ICT Excellence Awards

The 11th Middle East Information and Communication Technology Excellence Awards will be held on the 21st of May 2006 at the Burj Al Arab, Dubai, UAE in conjunction with the 12th GCC eGovernment Forum. Organized by the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute, the awards will showcase the best examples of ICT planning and implementation by business and government organizations from the Middle East.



This year, the awards will promote a greater sense of achievement amongst regional stakeholders of e-Government, e-Business and ICT. Award winners will be highlighted for their customer centric solutions and services that really make a difference to people in the region. The categories in which achievement will be recognized are eServices, eGovernment Portals, eBusiness Portals, ICT Partners, ICT Skills Development, Online Payment, IT Management and Electronic Media.



Speaking about the awards, Ali Al Kamali, Chairman, Middle East Excellence Awards Institute said, "Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have brought tremendous efficiency, productivity and transparency to processes everywhere and have brought about discernible benefits to the global business ecosystem - which includes businesses, government and non-government organizations and the consumers."



"In recognition of these innovations in the region, the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute presents the 11th Middle East ICT Excellence Awards - an awards program that recognizes the most outstanding contributors that have helped bridge the digital divide in the region" he added.



The 11th Middle East ICT Excellence Awards will be presented at a function that brings together eminent professionals from regional Government, Business and ICT organizations.
