ThyssenKrupp Access Acquires Elevator Division of Mobility Concepts Inc



May 5, 2005 -- ThyssenKrupp Access, a leading manufacturer of stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, and residential elevators announces its acquisition of Mobility Concepts, Inc. Elevator Division, a leading residential elevator and accessibility equipment dealer in the Northwest. Mobility Concepts, located in Fife, WA also specializes in sales, service, and installation of automotive adaptive equipment, conversion vans, and patient lift systems, which is not part of the acquisition. "The acquisition of Mobility Concepts Elevator Division will enable us to further penetrate the Northwestern United States," said Thomas Hance, president of ThyssenKrupp Access. "This acquisition falls inline with our long-term accessibility equipment and residential elevator growth strategy."

Duane Bishop has joined ThyssenKrupp Access as the new branch manager of the Fife, WA location and will run the day-to-day operations.
