Four guild members are selected each year to create special knives for the Annual Knifemakers' Guild Show. Marvin Solomon created a drop point hunter with a nickel silver guard and intricately pinned ivory scales. Bill King designed a gentleman's folder with heat colored Damascus bolsters, file work and a mushroom shaped thumb stud inlaid with a ruby. The scales are ivory with colored scrimshaw. Warren Osborne created a gentleman's lockback with Damascus blade and interframe construction. The scales are blacklip mother of pearl into white mother of pearl. Gayle Bradley designed a two blade trapper with double bolsters and oosic scales. Any one attending the knife show will be eligible to win one of these four knives (http://www.knifemakersguild.com) and winners do not have to be present at the drawing.
