New Beacon Street Girls Brand Accessories for Tweens to Be Showcased at New York Stationery Show
May 11, 2005 -- B*tween Productions brings its new Beacon Street Girls brand into "tween age" girls' daily lives with a line of fashion accessories inspired by the successful Beacon Street Girls book series. Visitors to the New York Stationery Show, May 15-18 can view this line of age-appropriate tween accessories at Booth #1080. The new line includes tween-friendly clutches, makeup cases, plush, duffle bags, stationery, pillows and jewelry.
"By tying our editorial content to 'cool,' age-appropriate accessories that girls need and use every day, we can deliver the empowering messages and self esteem building skills of the Beacon Street Girls books with the perfect formula of fashion and fun," explains Addie Swartz, founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Swartz noted that most brands targeting tweens have simply "trickled down" from those targeting older teenagers. "Girls between the ages of 9 and 13 deserve their own brand focused on their own real life needs, wants and experiences," she said.
Just like the characters in the Beacon Street Girls books, Beacon Street accessories were developed by studying how tween age girls spend their time and money. The products reflect such favorite activities as sports, sleepovers, shopping, hanging out with friends, and accessorizing both themselves and their rooms.
The new line includes perfect birthday gifts for real girls. Most items are accessorized with miniature Marty, the adorable little dog with the big personality that the Beacon Street Girls rescued from a garbage can, or Happy Lucky Thingy, a pink mood squeezie -- a tweenager favorite. All Beacon Street Girls accessories have been tween-tested and approved.
