Connecticuts Largest Trade Show is Shaping Up To Be A Spectacular Grand Opening Event Of The New Connecticut Convention Center In Hartford CT On June 2 2005



May 17, 2005 -- Connecticut's largest-ever trade show with over 500 exhibitors, "CT Xpo 2005 for Business, has attracted a well-rounded mix of national companies, state corporations and community organizations that are planning a number of spectacular features for the 10,000 plus people that are expected to attend on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the grand opening event of the new Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford, CT.

"We are planning a number of spectacular features and events for our attendees on June 2nd. I am very happy to announce that Microsoft Corporation will be bringing its large 42-foot mobile display that attendees will be able to walk through to view the latest Microsoft technology. We also just arranged for XM Satellite Radio to display its enormous 18-wheeler display that will feature the company's huge programming offerings. I'm also very happy as the 'Community Commitment' Pavilion starts to shine with participation from some of the top nonprofits in our state, such as Nutmeg Big Brothers & Big Sisters and Lawyers Without Borders," explained Marc Sherer, president of Event Management, the West Hartford, CT based company producing the event.

A brief overview of the business expo is as follows: Kickoff breakfast from 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., presented by The Hartford Courant; first educational track starts at 8 a.m.; Exhibit Floor opens from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; ribbon cutting ceremony from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; Business Champions Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., presented by the Hartford Business Journal and the MetroHartford Alliance; educational tracks throughout the day until 3: 30 p.m.; Taste of XPO Reception from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and the Business & The Arts Networking Event from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., sponsored by Jim Koplik Presents and WDRC-FM. The Connecticut Business & Industries Association (CBIA) will be hosting its annual HR Conference in the building throughout the day as well. Admission is free to the Exhibit Hall and most seminars. There are nominal costs for other events such as the breakfast and luncheon.

In the Exhibition Hall, with over 500 companies and organizations participating and displaying various corporate products and services, attendees will find the area divided into five general pavilions: the TecXPo Technology Pavilion; MAX Marketing & Advertising Pavilion; the Community Commitment Pavilion; and the Business Services Pavilion. Throughout the day, there are seven educational tracks being presented that include over 40 seminars covering sales, marketing and advertising, business management, technology and other important business issues.
