2005 Celebrate Long Island Food Wine Festival Presented by Long Island Chefs Magazine at Martha Clara Vineyards
Together, Long Island's renowned chefs and acclaimed vintners will gather at Martha Clara Vineyards and plan to inspire guests with their choice offerings during Celebrate Long Island.
The outdoor event is from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. The event proclaims that Long Island is a quality food and wine resource. Its goal is to encourage and educate Long Islanders and others about local precious resources-the farm, seafood, and wine industries that enrich the Long Island area.
A wide variety of Long Island food samplings will be available in an effort to help raise money to benefit the Gift of Life, Special Olympics, NY - Long Island Region; Central Suffolk Hospital; L.I. Works Coalition; Long Island Wine Council, and the Association for Facilities Engineers' L.I. Chapter.
Certifying that the area is a world-class culinary region, the L.I. Farm Bureau, L.I. Wine Council, and NY Seafood Council unite in their advocacy to cultivate support for the quality that Long Island has to offer.
Jacqueline Entenmann, Proprietor of Martha Clara Vineyards stated, "We are proud to host the event which celebrates the extraordinary beauty, quality,and profusion of wine, farm, and seafood products from the Long Island region. My father and I congratulate the organizations that provide stewardship for these resources. We applaud those who advocate the use of our local products and encourage all fellow Long Islanders to do the same."

Roger Tollefsen, of Hampton Bays has served as President of the New York Seafood Council since 1991. He says, "The blend of Long Island Seafood, wines, and farm products are as natural as the seas."
Steven Bate, Executive Director of the Long Island Wine Council said, "Long Island is truly unique among the world's premium wine regions. Very few can boast a local combination of superb wines, exceptional produce and great seafood that we enjoy here on the East End. This event will provide a special opportunity to sample all of these excellent products together in one place -- a veritable mecca for wine and food lovers!"

Celebrate Long Island works to foster volunteers, corporations, and organizations to forge partnerships to celebrate in the common purpose of doing good for the community and improve the place we live-Long Island.
