The developer of PSS, Paul B. Evans gave this reason for launching this site. "There are a lot of article directories, but none just for speakers. Many speakers have articles they have written that sit unseen on their sites. They can use Public-peaking-Source.com to list their articles and help others at the same time.

Mr. Evans says that the article directory will be useful for many people who are looking to increase their ability to communicate effectively.

First, the writer will gain exposure. PSS allows authors to include links to their websites along with a brief biography of themselves. This will boost their credibility and web presence according to Evans.

Second, speakers of all levels will have access to free articles for them to learn and grow from. Many people suffer from a fear of public speaking, which Mr. Evans believes can be eliminated effectively through increased training and improved confidence.
