AbleNet Inc. Names Adam Wing to Vice President of International Business

AbleNet Inc., a world leader in assistive technology products for persons with disabilities and U.S. leader in providing curriculum, skills development, and technology for special education students, announces the promotion of Adam Wing to Vice President of International Business. In his new role, Wing will drive AbleNet's global reach by expanding the company's already established distribution channels with a renewed focus on industry professionals who provide products and services that support and enhance the lives of persons with disabilities.

AbleNet CEO, Jen Thalhuber said, "Adam Wing's natural enthusiasm and experience in international business development will be highly beneficial in terms of working closely with AbleNet's invaluable network of resellers to identify new opportunities in the global marketplace."

AbleNet recently expanded its presence in the international rehabilitation and physical therapy space with the acquisition of Tash Inc., a world-class assistive technology company whose products complement AbleNet's already robust and globally recognized portfolio of "easy-tech" solutions. With this acquisition, AbleNet is poised to provide more assistive technology choices to more people in more than 50 countries.

"In my new role as Vice President of International Business, my goal is to facilitate global partnerships with individuals, organizations, and governments who share AbleNet's desire to provide the best solutions for improving the lives of adults and children with disabilities," said Adam Wing. I am committed to listening to the needs of our partners in every country, to consider their unique cultures and languages, and to help them reach people who can benefit from assistive technologies by responding with the right mix of products, services and programs to help them be successful," added Wing.

Prior to his promotion, Wing served as Senior Director of International Business, a role in which he was responsible for supporting and expanding AbleNet's network of nearly 100 resellers, while raising the profile of assistive technology solutions on the international stage. Before joining AbleNet, Wing played key marketing, sales, training, and business development roles at Laureate Learning Systems, a special needs software developer, and at SchoolSpring.com an online employment source for educators.

Wing is also recognized as a forward-thinking thought leader in the field of assistive technology, and is an accomplished public speaker, writer and strategist. He currently serves as vice president of the board for the Alliance for Technology Access, a 20-year-old non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the many benefits technology can bring to persons with disabilities.

About AbleNet:

The company is also recognized for developing research-based special education curricula that meet state and federal mandates. Located in Roseville, Minnesota, AbleNet is an ESOP company that sells its products through a network of distributors in more than 50 countries.
