March 8, 2005 -- American artist/puzzle inventor Duane Cash was selected as winner of 2004 Businessman of the Year award from the Business Advisory Council for his work on Cash Art Studio
and his puzzle inventions in Duane Cash Cube Collection. The award will be presented at 2005 Tax Reform Workshop in Washington D.C. on March 14th and 15th, 2005. Duane Cash will be listed
in a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal to recognize the accomplishment.
Duane Cash, an American oil and acrylic artist and inventor of the Duane Cash Cube Collection, which includes the Rubik's Triamese, Rubik's Fusion, and Rubik's 5x3 Cubes, lives and works
in his Albuquerque art studio through Cash Art Studio on the web. Selling his works around the globe through Internet auctions and his website at http://www.cashartstudio.com, Duane Cash works as a full-time artist, along with his Asian American wife, Phet Cash.
Known as "America's Living Artist Couple" on eBay, Duane and Phet Cash have sold over 1000 works of original paintings through through their online store and have been approached on
occasion by several respected art collectors and gallery owners. Although the couple has no gallery representation in the United States currently, they are open to expanding this type of
interest in their art.
The 2004 Businessman of the Year Award is presented by Business Advisory Council, who will also be hosting a March Dinner with special guest President George W. Bush. In 2003, Duane Cash
also became an Honorary Chairman of the Business Advisory Council for his promotion of small business ideals and integrity.
About the current award, Duane Cash has stated "I am grateful to be able to receive such an award, and I give first thanks to God and my faith in Jesus Christ for the honor."
Duane Cash, also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, indicated that he expresses a marvelous love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, a thankfulness for knowing the
truth of Book of Mormon, the Bible, and a great love for knowing that he has guidance from a modern-day Prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley.
Duane Cash, a graduate of the University of New Mexico, with a B.A. in English, hopes to continue expanding his art business, and has hopes that enough of the puzzles in the Duane Cash
Cube will sell that they will be one day mass-produced and sold in toy stores and other retail outlets such as Wal-Mart. "It all depends on how many people buy the puzzles," says Duane
Cash. "If thousands of people people bought just one, then that would be great. Then I would be able to focus more on my art sales."
