Blue Marlin Sculpture Comes to Sanroc Cay

A 28 foot Blue Marlin sculpture will be delivered to Sanroc on Wednesday afternoon. Its new home has been prepared with a one and half ton stainless steel base in a sparkling new development in Orange Beach, Alabama (http://www.sanroccay.com). This was created by Brundidge, Alabama artist Ronald Godwin. Ronald created this gigantic creature from the largest Blue Marlin ever caught in the world. In the process of hand forming, fabricating and welding he used sheets of stainless steel with the skin made from finely polished stainless steel strips. He then fit the skin which was basically a weaving process.



This gorgeous sparkling Blue Marlin will welcome visitors and shoppers to this exciting new development at Sanroc Cay in Orange Beach (http://www.sanroccay.com). It combines one of a kind retailers as well as famous restaurants of Louisiana Laginappe, Cafe Grazie and Sanroc Deli. The world class marina will be the place for charter fishing on the coast.
