As a tribute to one of the longest running genres in the underground music scene, BreakThru Radio (BTR) will present DJ RePete's8217;s special dance and electronica show to be broadcasted
from June 12-18. BTR first introduced DJ RePete's8217;s Club Cavern show in March receiving a listenership of more than 500,000 tuning in to hear the latest in indie dance music.
BTR is devoted to giving a voice to talented, upcoming artists. Unlike traditional radio, BTR has no restrictions on style -- playing rock, punk, hip hop, electronica, alt-country,
reggae, metal, soul, et al. It is this feature that allows BTR to develop weekly specialty shows focusing on the different musical genres as well as music scenes from cities across the
globe.
's8220;For years, club DJs have taken popular songs, no matter the genre, and remixed them with a beat, said BTR's8217;s DJ RePete. 's8220;But in recent years we'sve seen this hybrid of
alternative-pop emerge that mimics the DJ remix. There has been a steady growth of alternative artists releasing remix versions of their own tracks adding to the popularity of club
music.'s8221;
Since the inception of the BTR specialty show, more than seven million listeners have logged on to hear the most unique hour on internet radio. In addition to the Club Cavern, BTR has
also showcased genres and scenes such as 's8220;DJ Darkside's8217;s Heavy Metal and Rock show; 's8220;In the Mix,'s8221; honoring the Atlanta music scene and a profile of Chicago's8217;s
Polyvinyl Records -- to name just a few.
BTR broadcasts 24 hours a day on www.breakthruradio.com or www.NYTrack.com, New York'ss only website
dedicated to the tri-state high school track community thus reaching over 5 million high school students. For additional information about BreakThru Radio, please contact John
