Carbonite Renews Microsoft Money Relationship to Provide Microsoft...

Carbonite, Inc., announced today that it has renewed its relationship with Microsoft to include a year of free online backup of Microsoft Money files with Microsoft Money Plus. Under the terms of the agreement, Microsoft Money Plus Premium and Microsoft Money Plus Home & Business will ship with a free one year subscription to Carbonite MS Money Backup that automatically backs up all Microsoft Money files on the user's PC. This offer was previously available with Microsoft Money 2007.

Users of Microsoft Money Plus will be able to back up their Microsoft Money files free for an entire year. To redeem this offer, Money Plus users should visit carbonite.com/money where they'll need to provide only a valid email address and password. Carbonite, which takes extra steps toward data privacy and security, encrypts users' Money files twice before backing them up to Carbonite's secure data centers.

During the past year, thousands of Microsoft customers experienced the added value and security of Carbonite's online backup service after purchasing Microsoft Money 2007.

"Financial records are among the most valuable documents a person stores on his or her computer. Carbonite helps provide greater peace of mind to users of Microsoft Money Plus by automatically backing up their files."

According to a 2006 study by Harris Interactive, 55 percent of consumers surveyed said the data on their computers was valued at more than $1,000. Yet almost half of respondents were not backing up their data regularly. Carbonite's online backup service makes data protection simple, safe and affordable.
