Computing Technology Industry Associations Updates CompTIA University...

The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), the leading trade association for the world's information technology (IT) industry, announced today it has completed a major update of its CompTIA University web site, a rich resource of educational materials for technology solution provider businesses.

The CompTIA University (http://www.comptia.org/trainingandeducation/comptia_university.aspx) curriculum is focused in three key areas:

-    Improving customer satisfaction

-    Professional improvement for business owners and staff

"Owners of IT solution provider businesses know that they must assess and address these issues on a continuing basis, but the 24/7 nature of our industry makes it challenging for many owners to find the time to do so," said Kim Santaniello, vice president, education and training, CompTIA.

"CompTIA University is designed as a one-stop source for IT business owners, offering them the educational opportunities and resources they can use to keep their operations current with changing market conditions," she added. CompTIA University includes an array of resources on the issues and topics affecting IT business profitability and success, such as human resources, marketing, sales, customer service, and business management. Current offerings include audio conferences and archived recordings; web-based learning modules; business management reference books; and industry best practices. New offerings and delivery vehicles are added regularly.

Another feature of CompTIA University is the CompTIA Solution Provider Roadmap (http://roadmap.comptia.org/), an online tool that helps resellers analyze the strengths and weaknesses of their business, and identify strategies for change based on proven business models that generate consistent levels of profit and long-term growth.
