RTIconnect, a Web-enabled Back Office software system, will provide food and labor cost controls and cash reporting for the company's8217;s Mrs. Winner's8217;s restaurants. With the
addition of Mrs. Winner's8217;s, RTIconnect is now used by over 1,600 quick-service restaurants in the United States. Other restaurant concepts currently using RTIconnect include
Arby's8217;s, Bear Rock Café, Burger King, Camille's8217;s Sidewalk Café, Carl's8217;s Jr., Cinnabon, and Wendy's8217;s.
RTIconnect is offered as either a hosted ASP service, or as a self-hosted license. Famous Recipe Company Operations has asked RTI to provide hosting and data storage services for its 93
restaurants.
Food, Labor, Cash
In its Food application, RTIconnect uses sales projections, sales history, and past product mix to calculate how much food to prep, how much to order, and how much labor to allocate for
food preparation. It also maintains menu items and recipes for variance reporting.
Its Labor application enables store managers to create efficient crew and management schedules based on sales projections and parameters that define when jobs should be performed and how
many employees are needed. This approach enables store managers to quickly create schedules that include very little excess labor.
The Cash/Till Management tools in RTIconnect help restaurant managers track and account for total cash, gift certificates, paid-ins, paid-outs, credit card receipts, and other tender
types in the restaurant at any point in time during a business day.
SMART Client Technology
Developed by Restaurant Technology, Inc. (RTI), RTIconnect was built using Microsoft's8217;s(R) .NET v2.0 framework for Smart Client software. This enables the software to run like a
Windows program at the restaurant, making it easy for restaurant managers to learn and use, while in the background it takes full advantage of the Internet to move data effortlessly
between the restaurant or corporate office and RTI's8217;s Data Center. The .NET technology also offers improved reliability, stronger security, and faster performance than conventional
software applications.
