New DVD Film Locking Process is Good News for Content Owners

Liquid11 today announced an innovative new product that allows content owners to lock content held on DVD'ss; enabling content owners to capture new revenues and offer additional premium content from new and existing distribution channels.

Paul Gaston, Liquid11 CTO and the designer of the new locking method said, Our locking product is the most secure on the market, it offers the viewer an opportunity to unlock and watch premium content or additional features held on a DVD. Traditionally, locked DVD'ss have had the fundamental flaw of replicating the password across all the discs, meaning that if the unlock code were to be published on the internet or became publicly available, there was the potential that all the DVD'ss could be unlocked without the content owner receiving revenue.

This new innovation is set to change the way film content is distributed and opens up new opportunities for both distributors and content owners. It is also going to have a significant impact on cover mount DVD give-aways, bringing a new revenue opportunity to the print media sector.
