Peritus Public Relations, the largest and fastest-growing agency in Kentucky, is opening an office in Nashville and has named veteran local public relations executive Alan Hall as managing director, said Tim Mulloy, CEO of the Louisville-based company.
Peritus Public Relations is a full-service agency that specializes in public affairs, strategic communications, corporate communications and crisis communications. Serving a wide range of
corporate, public interest and non-profit clients, Peritus has expertise in almost every type of industry including healthcare, hospitality, tourism, telecommunications, education, real
estate development, construction, restaurants, consumer products and many others.
"We fight hard for our clients and we don't quit until the job is done. Our clients have rewarded us with rapid growth and we are excited to bring our unique style to Nashville," said
Mulloy. "We are confident that with Alan's vast experience and our client service ethic, we will become a contributing member of the Nashville business community."
"What sold me on Peritus is their absolute passion for doing great work for their clients," said Hall. "They listen and understand the client's needs. And then they are fervent,
enthusiastic advocates for the client's position. To top it off, the management team and staff are some of the smartest and most dedicated professionals I have ever had the pleasure of
meeting."
Peritus Public Relations serves a wide range of national clients from its base in Louisville, Ky. Founded in 1998, the agency operates with high-intensity, a fighting spirit and a focus
on winning -an approach that has great appeal to clients. Hall joins a talented group of professionals at Peritus, including lawyers, reporters, political consultants, lobbyists and
veteran public relations pros.
The senior staff has more than sixty years of experience leading communications efforts for companies like Pepsi, Marriott, Gap, Inc., Clear Channel Communications and Kentucky Fried
Chicken. The agency is especially known for creating and executing programs that influence public opinion, promote regulatory and legislative initiatives, position litigation and manage
issues. Alliance Development and Grassroots and Grasstops initiatives are two other areas in which the agency has significant expertise.
Hall comes by his knowledge of Tennessee and Nashville by serving as a national award-winning business reporter who traveled the state for The Tennessean, and as press secretary for a
former mayor of Nashville when he ran for governor. He has known, worked with and advised the key decision makers in Tennessee government and business for more than 20 years.
Hall's philosophy is to be driven and results-oriented with a sense of urgency tempered by concern for the accuracy and quality of his work. "The key to good public relations and public
affairs is to research the issues, listen to the client and then work your butt off for their success," said Hall.
Prior to joining the Peritus organization, Hall served in an account service and management capacity in several public relations agencies. He has worked for clients in such industries as
hospitality, entertainment, tourism, telecommunications, insurance, healthcare, government and others. When named as the first-ever vice president of corporate communications for Gaylord
Entertainment Company -- a Fortune-500, NYSE-listed entertainment company -- Hall oversaw government relations, community relations, public relations and corporate marketing. He also was
deeply involved in investor relations and helped take the company public in 1991.
Both Alan and his wife, Beth, are very involved in the Nashville community. Alan has served on several Nashville-area non-profit boards including the Ladies Hermitage Association - Home
of President Andrew Jackson, the Leukemia Society and the Tennessee State Museum, and has taken leadership roles in several other organizations. Alan and Beth live in Nashville with their
three children.
