March 8, 2005 -- The solution developed by cBrain is a so-called "process based document management solution" which supports PwC's project workflow and is integrated with a number of
PwC's other internal systems. Technically the solution is a composite application based on XML, SOA and Web services.
As part of the agreement, PwC Denmark and cBrain have entered into an agreement that will make the cBrain process based document management solution available to other PwC
organizations.
PwC has 1,265 employees in Denmark and revenues of more than 1 billion DKK serving 10,000 clients. Larger public companies are facing an increased demand for central archiving and full
audit trail of all written business communication (including e-mail) due to the recommendations and guidelines for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
With the experience from the implementation of the PwC system, cBrain is well positioned on this market with an innovative solution that can be implemented faster, less expensive and with
much better workflow support than traditional document management systems.
Process based Document Management provides significant advantages for the users because cBrain's XML plug-ins allows them to use their existing productivity tools, like the Microsoft
Office Suite or IBM Notes, as front-end to the central archive. The users will not experience a radical change in their daily routines, but rather that their business processes and
information workflow have become simpler and more secure. The implementation of process based document management with central archiving is easier and faster than traditional document
management systems.
Our customers include Sonofon, Carlberg, FLS Industries, Clear Channel, PwC, DAB, SEAS, Divas Uncorked, Emperion and many other private and public organizations.
