In a new trend that's sweeping the nation, animal shelters, therapy, service and rescue organizations around the United States are taking part in a new program to bring in much needed revenue. Launched in August, 2007, the "Bark Partners" program through Dog Lovers Wine Club (www.dogloverswineclub.com. The wine shipments also include tips about dogs, tasting notes about the wine, the source of the grapes and recommended food pairings. The wine label illustration for September's dog, named Aspen, is attached. Aspen is a deaf and visually impaired Great Dane, who was abandoned in a Washington, D.C. park at the age of 5 months. He now has a loving home in Maryland.
