Surprising 2009 Travel Intentions Revealed by Trek Escapes

A recent survey of their clientele of all ages and demographics suggests that general pessimistic economic predictions may not be hampering travel plans to the extent that many industry experts have suggested. Trek Escapes (http://trekescapes.com), Canada'ss leader in adventure travel (http://trekescapes.com) for over 35 years, conducted the survey in late October, 2008.

Most encouraging was the fact that the results only indicated a very slight drop in intended travel plans compared to 2008 actual behaviour, indicated Dallyce Macas, the President of Trek Escapes. Another positive trend we saw was that over 65% of respondents indicated that they planned to travel internationally at least once in 2009 whatever the economy brings.

Trek Escapes prides themselves on being customer-focused. When asked about the purpose of the survey, Macas responded, We surveyed our clients to get an idea of what the future may bring but more importantly, we will use this information to provide our clients with the highest possible level of service with the tours and adventures they are seeking.

According to Macas the results of the survey were encouraging but she quickly added, Survey results such as these are based on intentions and while we are very happy with the feedback we'sve been given, we also realize that it is very subjective. The key indicator we found was that a very high majority of those who do plan to travel in the future do intend on booking their trips through us. That tells us that we'sre providing an excellent level of service and we hope that this translates well regardless of economic circumstances beyond our control.
