Prior to joining The Collingwood Group, Russell was a managing director at Prescient, Inc. where he managed real estate assets in the government and private sectors. From 1999 to 2002, he served as president and CEO of DRS Realty Services/Crown NorthCorp, where he worked with three major investment-banking firms to restructure more than 46 billion dollars of multi-family housing and commercial loans financed through federal and commercial sources.

In the 1990s, he developed and directed the national multi-family and commercial production operations of the national commercial lending division of WMT. From 1988 to 1995, Russell served as a Tax Principal in Arthur Andersen's8217;s national real estate consulting group.
