Southern Outdoor Cinema and BB&T will wrap up a season of family movie fun in City Pond Park, as The Pink Panther lights up a huge, inflatable screen on August 18. This showing is the
last in the free 's8220;Movies in the Park's8221; series brought to Newton County by Southern Outdoor Cinema and BB&T.
Come out at 6 p.m. to jump for free on the inflatable slide and moonwalk, or grab complimentary Frisbees and balls from BB&T and play in the park until dark. NoJoe the Clown will
bring wholesome entertainment to kids of all ages. His performance is free, but he does accept donations to St. Jude's8217;s Children's8217;s Hospital. Settle in at dusk to watch the
clownish antics of Steve Martin as the bumbling Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
Last month, about 550 people enjoyed the pre-movie activities at Southern Outdoor Cinema and BB&T's8217;s showing of Ice Age 2. Despite some rainy weather, more than 350 stayed to
watch the movie.
