May 4, 2005 -- Effective Thursday, May 5, 2005 Toastmasters on the Halifax, District #47, Club 7286 will be holding its weekly meetings at the Schildecker Science Building, on the campus
of the Daytona Beach Community College in Daytona Beach.
Previously the club held its meetings at a local bank facility, located on Bill France Boulevard in Daytona Beach. Sometime in March the management of that financial institution informed
club officers they needed the space.
Toastmasters on the Halifax is a member club of the world renown Toastmasters International, an organization which helps men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking-
vital skills that promote leadership,self-actualization, enhance, as well as nurture human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of mankind. The Club's mission is to provide a
mutually supportive, positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to gain leadership experience, and communication skills which in turn foster self-confidence
and personal growth.
Toastmasters on the Halifax received its charter on March 1, 1998. The club is designated a "President's Distinguished Club", because its members have achieved a required number of
Toastmaster levels within the organization. Open to all interested parties in the Daytona Beach area, the group meets weekly on Thursday evenings at 6.

Beach Campus in the Schildecker Science Building 410, Room 234 on the second floor. Ample parking is available after 5PM in all parking spaces in the vicinity.
