ALR Chooses BCPs Accord to Help Spread its Message

Abundant Life Resources (ALR), is investing in a fully integrated multi-channel Accord retail system from UK solutions specialist, Business Computer Projects Ltd (BCP) for its retailing operation.

ALR is the trading name of the Abundant Life Church, a flourishing 21st century church, based in Bradford. The Church has more than 2,500 members and reaches a potential audience of 1 billion people through its TV programmes which are broadcast in more than 200 countries. Its successful retail operation sells a wide range of books, teaching resources and music. The publications, albums and dvds are sold both from a dedicated shop located at the Church and world wide through the website at www.alm.org.uk and other distribution channels.

BCP is one of the UK's8217;s top suppliers of specialist Supply Chain solutions to the Retail and Wholesale industry with key clients including SPAR, Pets at Home, William Morrison Supermarkets, ARAMARK and the Royal Mint.

The investment in new technology was stimulated by the Church's8217;s popularity and rapid growth of its retail operation and the need for the organisation to have a new system that could cope with the expanded business. BCP was chosen following a thorough selection process reviewing offerings from four leading systems suppliers.

The new system, due to go live in August, encompasses BCP's8217;s complete Accord retail solution. The modern Windows front end 's8211; Accord 's8211; PoS ¬will run on four tills linking to a multi user Back Office/Head Office system for centralised control over store operations, from product and price maintenance and auto replenishment to stock control, sales reporting and cash control. Web sales will integrate seamlessly into the system giving ALM a complete picture of their sales through all channels.

Fundamental to securing the contract was BCP's8217;s professional approach, ability to understand ALR's8217;s unique business and the quality and breadth of the Accord solution.

Keith Nixon, ALR Resources Manager, concludes: 's8220;Accord will be a vital tool to help us manage the operational aspects of the increasing worldwide demand for our resources. It has the technical capability we need to cater for the massive growth we are seeing here in Bradford.'s8221;
