On Monday, November 14th, Victoria Pericon, mom author of Mommy Land: Entering the Insanity of Motherhood (Wyatt-Mackenzie, ISBN: 1932279202) and Cool Mom Inventions: Secrets of 56 Successful Mommy Inventors (Wyatt-Mackenzie, ISBN: 1932279245) will launch MomAuthors.com an online resource for aspiring and recently published mom authors. MomAuthors.com will feature podcasts ("momcasts"), interviews, book reviews, author profiles, nationwide author events and invitations to dinners with best-selling mom authors in select cities.



Pericon, a family lifestyle contributor on FOX, NBC and CBS stations across the country, decided to meld two titles a woman could never retire from - mom and author. Her inspiration for starting MomAuthors.com came from interviewing fellow mom authors on her radio show this summer and from talking with mom authors who wanted seasoned advice.



MomAuthors.com will also be a way for mothers to learn more about their favorite author through podcasts on significant topics. The goal of the podcasts is to entertain and inform mothers across the country as they sit in the car waiting for their children to get out of school, on the way to the office, during dinner prep and when they are finally able to find time to take a bath. In addition to podcasts, fans of mom authors will be able to read interviews and book reviews online, participate in contests and stay informed of the latest news about their favorite mom author.



For a fee, mom authors will be able to promote their books in the author profile section online (a guest resource for radio and television show producers), take exclusive writing classes and participate in national author events via telephone. There will also be opportunities to receive advice from publicists, publishing insiders and literary agents.



Pericon hopes to one day share advice with podcast listeners from the ultimate mom author -Nobel Prize recipient Toni Morrison.
