Sample premiums obtained in the areas within the car friendly towns were calculated to be much lower than those listed in the worst 10 cities and towns.
One of the places to be included in the top 10 of the survey was Poole. Steve Tite a principal manager of transportation services in the Borough of Poole "We are extremely pleased with the result of the survey. We have ten car parks , which have achieved Park Mark status, a national scheme designed to reduce crime and fear of crime in car parks ".
It is initiatives such as this that is enabling towns such as Poole to be recognised for having a safer and better environment for its motorists and therefore helping local residents to obtain lower car insurance quotes.
