Transport Risk Management Inc Announces The Formation Of Specialty...



Transport Risk Management, Inc., a partnership between Swift Transportation founder Chairman and CEO, Jerry Moyes, and Transport Risk Management, Inc. President, Terry Miller, has formed a specialty aviation insurance brokerage and consulting unit which will cater to the sensitive and special needs of the professional sports and entertainment industries.



Through strategic partnerships with some the largest professional sports and entertainment business management, entertainment law, and insurance brokerage firms in the world, Transport Risk Management currently places more than $5.2 million in professional sports and entertainment aviation premium covering asset values in excess $240 million. The sensitive and confidential nature of this class of business requires special handling and attention says Miller, and those special requirements have prompted Transport Risk Management, Inc. to place the entire professional sports and entertainment book of business into the new specialty unit which will be separate from the general aviation practice. The new unit and associated accounts will continue to be handled by insurance professionals specifically suited to the entertainment and professional sports class of business.



The new unit will be located in Camarillo, California, and will provide direct support to professional sports and entertainment business managers and risk management professionals charged with the placement of that class of business.



Transport Risk Management, Inc. was formed in 2003 to provide specialty risk management and insurance brokerage services to the corporate, industrial, and commercial aviation and ground transportation industries. The specialty aviation classes of business comprise more than $18,000,000 of the firms annual transportation related insurance premium volume.



In addition to some of the best known individual entertainment and professional sports personalities in the world, Transport Risk clients include the Arizona Diamond Backs, Phoenix Coyotes, and Phoenix Suns.
