The Children'ss Cancer 's38; Blood Foundation (CCBF) held an exclusive in-store shopping event at the Tory Burch boutique in the Meatpacking District on Wednesday evening. Proceeds from the benefit will help to provide much needed medication, chemotherapy and other life-saving treatments to children who are patients of the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Hosted by Gail Evertz, Lauren Feinman, and Barri Lieberman, the evening was a great success and those in attendance enjoyed cocktails, socializing and shopping with 20% of all proceeds
going to support CCBF. Guests to the event included actor Matthew Modine, Dr. Bussell, one of New York Magazine'ss 2009 Top Doctors, and Dr. Cunningham Rundles of the Division along with
many others. A highlight of the event was a raffle where one lucky winner walked away with a stunning Tory Burch tote.
Those who could not make it can still contribute by shopping online at www.toryburch.com and entering promotion code CCBF at checkout from June
10-14. Shipping is free on orders over $100 and 20% of every purchase will still go to support children with cancer and blood diseases.
For 57 years, CCBF has been proud to support the extraordinary team of doctors and researchers of the Division. CCBF'ss support has attracted and retained a group of world-renowned
experts on the treatment of multiple pediatric blood disorders and cancers, including hemophilia, sickle-cell anemia and leukemia. Our researchers have received international recognition
for their work and are on the cusp of breakthroughs predicted to change the way the medical community treats children with cancer and blood diseases. Each year, our physicians treat more
than 1,000 children through more than 10,000 inpatient and outpatient visits. No child is ever turned away for services, regardless of his or her ability to pay.
