The Lanman Family Foundation, Inc. presented a $10,000 check to Bill Marsch, acting Executive Director of The Melanoma Research Foundation at the St. Louis Educational Symposium held at
the Marriott West Hotel on October 15, 2005. This symposium was organized in cooperation with the Melanoma Hope Network primarily for patients, family members and healthcare providers.
Julie Landis and Marianne Salaymeh founded Lanman Family Foundation as a non-profit organization in October 2004 with their families in order to raise money for melanoma research,
education and awareness. Their seven children decided to sell SPF for LIFE! wristbands to raise money in honor of their grandmother, Cindy Lanman, who was battling stage three melanoma.
The slogan, SPF for LIFE!, is meant to remind you to wear your sunscreen your whole life for a long and healthy life. Wristbands are still available for $1.00 each. Visit
www.spfforlife.com for details and an order form.
