Radiation Oncology Associates Announce Qualification to EnrollCancer...



Radiation Oncology Associates, a member of Oncure Medical Corp., has been qualified to enroll patients in Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) clinical trials by the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). This qualification is not only prestigious, but is only granted to a select group of radiation oncology providers who perform an outstanding job in treating patients with IMRT.



We practice high quality state-of-the-art radiation therapy for all types of malignancies. We participate in investigational Phase II and randomized Phase III clinical trials designed by national cooperative study groups, pediatric oncology studies and CALGB and RTOG. We are active in Hoosier Oncology Group'ss (HOG) organizational activities, and, as a founding member, I serve on the board of directors and as a member of Clinical Trials Working Group, said Dr. Prasad Mantravadi.



For 40 years, the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group's174; (RTOG's174;) has been a recognized leader in working to increase survival and improve the quality of life for cancer patients. Based in Philadelphia, RTOG is a key clinical research component of the American College of Radiology (ACR) and serves as a multi-institutional, international clinical cooperative group funded primarily by the National Cancer Institute.



In addition to RTOG, Radiation Oncology Associates also partners with the following research groups in order to deliver the most advanced treatments possible: Hoosier Oncology Group, Southwest Oncology Group, Children'ss Oncology Group, CALGB Cancer and Leukemia Group, and the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project.
