METTLER TOLEDO announces a new ReactIR reaction monitoring product -- ReactIR 45m (http://us.mt.com/mt/products/products-applications_autochem_in-situ-spectroscopy_in-situ-laboratory/ReactIR_45m_Product-Product_1195051404355.jsp). The high end ReactIR 45m is temperature-stabilized to provide high quality data and chemical information to Chemical Engineers and Technologists during long term reactions of twelve hours or longer.
Advancements in their AgX (Silver Halide) FiberConduit technology led to the release of their new SiComp AgX FiberConduit (http://www.mt.com/mt/products/products-applications_autochem_in-situ-spectroscopy_in-situ-laboratory/ReactIR_SiComp_technology_Product-Product_1197642299687.jsp) - a silicon-based ATR sensor integrated with AgX fiber technology. This is the first and only silicon-based AgX fiber technology available. Silicon ATR sensors are useful for monitoring reactions that involve nitriles, ketenes, metal carbonyls, isocyanates -- to name a few. The aforementioned reactions are difficult to measure and monitor by other sensor materials, such as diamond. Coupled with AgX, the SiComp FiberConduit is flexible, easy-to-interface with your reactor and provides enhanced measurement reproducibility over traditional mirrored conduit technology.
ReactIR tools are developed on a common platform that results in an easy upgrade path from the entry to high end level, as well as extensibility with respect to novel sampling technologies and system options -- including software driven system alignment, temp trending with reaction data, and multiplex capabilities. Coupling ReactIR products with the field proven Comp ATR probe technology and the successful and powerful iC IR software (http://www.mt.com/mt/products/products-applications_autochem_iCIR-software/iC_IR_Product-Product_1187657202689.jsp) brings the Chemist and Chemical Engineer a reason to have this system and probe in their reactor -- each and every time they run chemistry.
