March 21, 2005 -- KMSI is pleased to announce the election of MG (RET) Robert H. Scales, Jr. PhD as a member of KMSI's Board of Directors. Dr. Scales is currently the President of COLGEN, Inc., and recently served as President and CEO of Walden University and President of Capstar Government Services (CGS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Educational Testing Services. Dr. Scales also sits on the Army Science Board, and the Board of Directors of Northrop Grumman Corporation and The National Technical University. Prior to joining the private sector, Dr. Scales served over thirty years in the Army, retiring as a Major General. He is a sought-after lecturer to academic, government, military, and business groups in the United States, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and South America. Dr. Scales is the author of several books on military history, serves as a senior military analyst for National Public Radio and Fox News Network and is a frequent commentator and consultant for other major media networks on issues relating to military history and defense policy. He is a graduate of West Point and earned his PhD in history from Duke University.
