Voltaix Inc. Announces Price Increases for Electronic Specialty Gases and Chemicals
Voltaix, Inc., a leading manufacturer of chemicals and gases for the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, announced today that it will assess a percentage price increase, effective January 1, 2006, or as supply agreements permit, for its electronic specialty gases and chemicals. For most products, the percentage increase will be in the 5 to 10 percent range, although in certain cases, higher increases are required to cover increased production costs. The price increases reflect energy and feedstock cost increases as well as cost increases for manufacturing equipment and materials. This pricing increase will also offset costs associated with plant security improvements which are a direct result of U.S. anti-terrorism efforts.
Voltaix maintains a philosophy of continuous improvement to provide our customers with the highest quality products while controlling costs to the extent possible. Price increases, however, are necessary because of recent increases in raw materials, transportation and other energy related costs, the continuing industry initiative to increase security at chemical facilities and Voltaix' ongoing efforts to enhance the overall safety and reliability of its products and services.
