Advanced Polymer Alloys Launches New Web Site
March 9, 2005 -- Advanced Polymer Alloys (APA), a division of Ferro Corporation (NYSE: FOE) and the world's leading supplier of Melt-Processible Elastomers (MPEs), today launched a completely redesigned web site - www.APAinfo.com - to provide easier and more intuitive access to the company's growing product line and technical information database.
APA's web site is intended to be a one-stop shop where design engineers, molders, and end users can find detailed information about the company's signature product, Alcryn Melt-Processible Rubber (MPR) as well as its new materials. APA's new polymers include DuraGrip, a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) designed for medium engineered consumer applications overmolded to rigid substrates that require soft touch designs for housewares and sporting goods; and DuraMax, an economical thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) with excellent chemical and fuel resistance for extrusion and injection molding applications.
The new web site features updated technical information, including real world application profiles, processing guides, data sheets, a grade selector, and more. Site visitors can also register for APA's free, quarterly e-newsletter, Material Matters.
"Product designers and processors require quick and easy access to critical information in order to make the right material decisions. APA provides just that with our redesigned web site," said Jeff Senich, new business development manager for APA. "Our goal is to ensure that our customers find the vital information they need and have it at their fingertips faster."
