April 23 2005 Original Tile Art by 5th Grade Students to Be Unveiled at Rededication of Elementary School Cafeteria Ribbon cutting ceremony will also unveil mural depicting Pasadena history nbspnbspnbsp What 5th grade students at James Madison Elementary School will unveil their artwork that will grace the walls of the newly renovated cafeteria on campus The much needed renovation project is the brainchild of the League's group of firstyear members who organized and launched the project earlier this month Original tile art from the fifth graders and a mural depicting historical Pasadena will be on permanent display following the revitalization Additional updates to the cafeteria will be completed by the end of this month and include floor refinishing fresh paint installation of emergencyexit signage and improved custodial equipment Who Fifth grade students from James Madison Elementary School will be on hand to show their artwork along with school officials school staff students Junior League members and community residents When Ribbon cutting ceremony - Monday May 2nd 1000 am Lunch and student activities - Monday May 2nd 1030 am to 1200 pm Renovation April 2005 Where James Madison Elementary School cafeteria 515 East Ashtabula Street Pasadena CA 91104 ETC Provisional members of the Junior League of Pasadena are women in the Pasadena and surrounding communities who are in their first year of involvement with the organization Each year the provisional members plan coordinate and execute a largescale project This process is meant to emphasize leadership team building and skill development while contributing to the community The Junior League of Pasadena Inc founded in 1926 is an allvolunteer organization open to women 22 and older who are committed to improving the lives of children in Pasadena and surrounding communities Over the past 20 years the women of Junior League have supported Pasadena and surrounding communities with programs and services that total more than $3328000
